Cause Of Toyota's Gas Pedal Bruhaha
By Richard Day
I am certain that this is politically incorrect, but here it goes. The policeman who inadvertently killed himself and his family driving the Toyota with the "stuck gas pedal" was evidently a dolt. As I heard the story, he was speeding at over one-hundred miles per hour in a Toyota car that he couldn't control because the gas pedal was stuck. He didn't reach down and turn the key off. He didn't jamb the shifter in park, neutral or reverse. He didn't reach down and see if there was something keeping the pedal from moving. Are you ready for this? HE CALLED 911 and asked for help. I don't know if you have ever heard 911 operator's conversations played back, but some of them don't have the IQ of an egg plant. What did he expect 911 was going to do? Consequently, he killed himself and his family. Natural selection?
